The O.C." star Adam Brody has some harsh words for Kristen Stewart. The 30-year-old actor doesn't have "a lot of patience" for celebrities like the "Twilight" actress who moan about being a celebrity.
While Stewart, 20, has legions of tween followers and has been gathering rave reviews in her craft, she has often shown her displeasure at being photographed. She had even correlated being photographed by paparazzi to being raped during an interview.
Brody wasn't impressed with the younger actress' whining. He said that if she wants to complain, she can just quit.
In an interview with "Juno" writer Diablo Cody, Brody was asked if he enjoys fame or "do you wish you could just be an actor apart from that, a la Kristen Stewart?"
He replied: "I think it's a shame because, you know, at certain times it's amazing… It's only gotten worse, I'm sure, being a celebrity. At the same time, I don't have a lot of patience for people who moan about it too much."
"Because there are many things you could do. It's like, quit… you don't need to be an actor, so it's like if it's that much of a problem… there's the door."
Though he has films coming out, Brody's fame is a little quieter compared to what Stewart is having right now so he may not fully understand how intrusive it is for her.
However, it is still a good advice for the actress, who makes it seem like the media should be thankful if they get a glimpse of her. Those paparazzi photos, although understandably annoying for the actors at times, also make them relevant to the media, keeping their fame at a steady level. So maybe a little smile won't hurt? |
