Hollywood classic "Italian Job" is going to be remade into Hindi with Bollywood stars Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor chosen to play the roles earlier filled by Mark Wahlberg and Charlize Theron, respectively.
The movie will be directed by the director duo Abbas-Mustan and it will be shot in Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand.
After the recent romantic caper "I Hate Luv Storys," the "Italian Job" remake would be the second movie in recent times to be shot in the island country, where it is set to be filmed at the end of the year.
The director duo informed the press that the movie would be made at a budget of Rs 1.4 billion (US$30 million), which will also have one more heroine, probably an American actress, although who has yet to be finalized.
The shoot will have a crew of 90 people flying down from India for a scheduled 50 days.
In a statement, tourism authorities in Queenstown said, "The producers have been in New Zealand, scouting for scenes and camera staff. The movie will be shot in Auckland and Wellington, with Auckland's Viaduct Basin - in the city's vibrant downtown waterside area - targeted for the big car chase scenes." |
