This week, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences paid tribute to a lady that is BEYOND tributes.

Sophia Loren with her two sons Carlo Ponti Jr. and Edoardo Ponti
We adore that old broad. Cute sons too. We’d have things to say about her outfit but
A) We are not worthy, and
B) It’s been a pretty standard Sophia uniform for a couple of decades now. Sheer sleeves, choker, major boob action, sparkles and big tinted glasses. If she changed it now, we wouldn’t recognize her as Sophia. The only thing we’ll give a thumbs down to are the … well, we don’t know how else to describe them; beaded shoulder pads?
Let’s see how some other ladies did, knowing they couldn’t compete with a DIVA LEGEND.
Christina Ricci
Cute. Simple. A complete 180 from her outrageous getup at the Met Gala the other night. She’s obviously coming down from that fashion high and isn’t trying to exert herself. The only thing we’re not crazy about is the limp hair.
Debi Mazar and Gabrielle Corcos
LUV. HUH. That’s such a great dress. Striking and stylish, but it looks like it’s easy to wear. We’re not entirely sold on the multi-paneled skirt, though. We like his jacket and the three-button collar he’s sporting, but you need a neck-and-a-half to pull that off.
Eva Mendes in Oscar de la Renta Fall 2011
We really love this dress. Stunning color. It really needs a belt, though.
Are hair stylists in Hollywood on strike or something? Because man, there have been some seriously sad-looking heads on the RC lately.
