While we were treated to swathes of gorgeous gowns on the Oscars red carpet (vote for your fave here), inside the ceremony, our frock watching was focused on the hostess with the mostess, James Franco's partner in crime, the lady of glossy locks and Hollywood-tastic smile, Miss Hathaway. Hooray indeed, folks! She whizzed her way through a carousel of crowd-pleasers, from Armani Privé to Atelier Versace, threw some dance moves while wearing a tux and bowtie, and sported $10 million in diamonds alone. WOAH! And all this as well as the Valentino gown she sported for her red carpet arrival. Golly gosh, Anne's superstylist, the inimitable Rachel Zoe, sure had her work cut out, didn't she? So let Grazia Daily pay homage to our favourite chameleon of Oscar night, the lovely Anne Hathaway...

We begin with the aforementioned Armani number, which comes courtesy of Giorgio's S/S'11 Privé collection. Anne wisely left Philip Treacy's flying-sauce-esque hat on the catwalk but that luminescent sheen and bold sapphire tone is still out of this world (guffaw).

And from sci-fi drama to 70s glam, Anne turned to Oscar de la Renta for this one-shouldered silver gown covered in sparkling beads and tassels. It's beyond elegant, and perfect for some on-stage shimmying, we might add.

Speak of 70s glam, Tom Ford's creations were sorely missed on the red carpet (where were you, Julianne?) but Hathers brought his designs to the stage for a dose of sleek sophistication, just as Eva Green did at the BAFTAs. Yippee! Anne accompanied the lace dress, covered in crystals, with Tiffany jewels and a sleek bun. BUT she also gave some volume a go with a Vivienne Westwood gown sprouting with taffeta, lace and tulle frills, reminding us of her 'Princess Diaries' days. Rumour has it, Dame Viv specifically made this one for Anne at the Westwood HQ in London, because what the Oscar host wants, the Oscar host gets...

Getting all bridal on us, the 28-year-old next appeared wearing this vanilla bustier dress embroidered with crystals, metal rings and er, clear plastic cord. How chic! Randomly, Zoe selected this one from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci's 2009 couture collection, making us wonder whether she returned to the archives to nail that must-have old Hollywood glamour... Well, tis the film industry’s biggest night, after all.
And here's that tux, which Anne donned for an on-stage musical number. No doubt RZ was inspired by her own collection of sharp tailoring and it's exactly what we were hoping for all those months ago, remember? In fact, this dapper suit's better than we could've imagined, courtesy of Alber Elbaz's fair hand, no less. Yup, it's Lanvin and would you look at those shoes! They're custom-made Brian Atwood heels decked out in Swarovski crystals, dontcha know - the perfect way to bring a splash of glitter to the androgynous trend.

Time for a final wardrobe change before hitting the Vanity Fair afterparty? Of course! This burgundy beauty is from Atelier Versace's S/S '11 couture line - the silk chiffon, intricate beading and draping on the bustier all make for a fabulous finale.
Well, what an assortment! Very well done, Hathaway. Now we want to hear what YOU make of Anne's stage style. The box below awaits your verdict and don't forget to cast your vote with our nifty tool above.
