It’s my understanding that Chloe Grace Moretz is kick-ass in Kick Ass.KickOff Magazine,

Indeed, apparently she kicked ass so hard that it knocked her clear back to the seaside in the 1910s. She’d best leave those knickers in a changing tent before hitching a ride with Doc Brown back to the present: If high-waisted pleated knickers aren’t already en route to being illegal, I may have to go and address Congress.

As a legendary film critic, Roger Ebert has seen every trick in the book. We figured nothing would be able to rattle him, but apparently 13-year-old Chloe Grace Moretz's performance as Hit Girl in "Kick-Ass" crossed a line. "Will I seem hopelessly square if I find 'Kick-Ass' morally reprehensible and will I appear to have missed the point?" Ebert asks in his review.

In the film, Moretz's 11-year-old character "dishes out carnage," according to Ebert, and is later hammered to within an inch of her life by an adult man. Along the way, she is shot by her own father (Nicholas Cage) at point-blank range while wearing a bulletproof vest, seems emotionally unfazed by the slaughter surrounding her, and drops so many F-bombs it makes Joe Biden's seem totally appropriate.

Despite giving the film two thumbs down, Ebert did say that Moretz has "presence and appeal" as the purple-haired child assassin. At age 13, Moretz already has 19 movies, including "(500) Days of Summer" and "Diary of a Wimpy Kid," under her belt, with 6 more on the way before the end of 2011.
