Puma_pool_2011-178 NYC's top After Hours Athletes take on the tables!
On Thursday March 24th 32 teams from various creative industries took up the recent PUMA Social pool challenge at Tropical 128, a tiki bar pool hall in the Nolita/Chinatown district in Manhattan. After 5 grueling hours of intense competition and pitchers of beer, team Psyop, one of the world's best visual effects company, emerged victorious in their quest to be New York City's greatest After Hours Athletes and won the coveted PUMA Biomega bike for their company.
Congratulations to the team, but don't rest on your laurels, it's only the first of a series of challenges that we have planned for the year!

Sussing out the competition
Getting to grips with the players in the room.
What’s the first thing you do when you walk into a bar? You take a look around and work out who the major players are, figure out their game plan and look at the best strategy for making the most of your night...well, that’s what we do at PUMA Social – and it never fails, honestly!
So, here’s our fail proof guide to sussing out the opposition and having a great night out!
Do your homework – you spend most of your life avoiding homework like the plague, but in this case it is fine! Get stuck in. I’m not talking about geeky math or science, but work out where you’re going, who goes there and how you can stand out from the crowd!
Have a plan – once you know where you are going to be partying the night away, you can then plan to get there just before the opposition and make your mark! Always have a plan.
Be a team – we all know life’s more fun in groups and partying is definitely a team sport. So make sure you have a group of mates who can keep going until the music stops.
Play to your strengths – if you want to make a good night a great one, you have to play to your strengths! Whether it be the gift of the gab or shaking some moves on the dance floor, make sure you stand out for all the right reasons!
