HOLD ON YOUR HAT
For those unfamiliar with what the “Urkelization” of Memphis, Tennessee’s Westside Middle School was all about, here’s a quick recap: When boys are caught wearing baggy pants in the hallways, prosecuting teachers are required to make the pantaloon perpetrators pull their slacks on high and fasten them up with twist-ties…just like Steve Urkel did many, many years ago. Aside from this form of discipline being absolutely hilarious, the consequences sound like total fashion nightmares. We thought we’d throw some fashion sense into the pot by featuring some smokin’ hot modern day he-geeks. Their stylish twist on Urkel’s signature look avoids humiliation and let’s you go to science class in style.
Fashion Face-Off is dueling with split personalities today. Do you sound the call of the wild when you dress for battle? Or are you drawn to cunning filigree and lace tactics? Scan a critical eye over these worthy opponents and select the winning look.

Hats are widely recognized as an extension of self. You are the hat you wear. With no hat, The Mad Hatter would just be Mad. Meet Katy Perry’s stylist slash bff- Johnny Wujek. He’s the guy who squeezes her into all the body-con gowns for the red carpet, and has acted as lead style authority for almost all her music videos, including “Firework”, “Teenage Dream” and “I Kissed a Girl”. Follow Katy on Twitter and you’ll get a first-tweet account of just how hard these two love each other. Johnny’s other style credits include Zac Efron, Anne Hathaway and Zooey Deschanel, but we think Katy’s still his number one girl.
