DE FASHION WEEK FALL 2011: LONDON BY HUYNHTANNGOC
Welcome back. Today we post to you from the departure gate at Heathrow. From Christopher Kane’s monster lab plastic-fluids to House of Holland’s gran scheme of things, here’s the fashion toast from The Big Smoke. Milan and Paris are coming up, so stay tuned for more from F21’s Tour de Fashion Week Fall 2011.
Anon 8:00PM here - looking at this harder. I think it's one pin (and one microphone. And the pin DOES have orange in it I believe. Hearing she paired yellow shoes with it, the thing makes better sense and she was doing Seuess! And it looks like she's having a ball. Kept the accessories down so she would not jangle, very much the teacher and I think it's cuter than I did. Also look at how the pink has a lavender cast and she chose lipstick which is just that color yet flattering. She put thought into this to get something the kids would find fun. Consequently I like it better!
Again on the second one, eery picture she has flattering leg coverage and it's dark enough not to make her look bunchy as she assumes some 'non-model' poses working with the kids. Love the bracelets. I really never like what she wears, but this time I'm 100% for her choices because they make sense for the occasion.
I like what she was going for in the first outfit, with the unusual color pairing, but she didn't quite get there. I love the second outfit.
On a side note: I got to see the 3rd graders from our local elementary school walking to the nearby middle school to read their Suess-esque stories to the 7th graders. All the 3rd graders were wearing their Cat in the Hat hats. So freakin' cute!!! I had to go home and look at the pics of my daughter doing the same thing a few years back.
I like both outfits quite a lot, both very appropriate for reading to kids. But what I am most struck by is her pure joy at doing this. There is nothing fake whatsoever about what she is doing and expressing her. No holding back trying to be "presidential" or "ladylike", just having a great time.
