BOOMERANG the king
Hi from Vegas--I'm here for the WWDMagic fashion tradeshow and Teen Vogue's fashion blogging discussions. I was just in Vegas last month and here I am again! My mom is with me, and we brought our dog Kim. She has been a great traveller. We're at the Cosmopolitan and the room is amazing! Last night we watched the Grammys with Kim. Since I don't have TV at home, I love watching TV when I travel. Sadly this hotel does not have the Boomerang channel--I love cartoons, espciallu 70's and 80's cartoons. Thundarr the Barbarian is my favorite. I made a gif of me living in my own cartoon...
The Michael Jackson-ish jacket I'm wearing is a find from Palm Beach--I'm in love with it. The fur and leather coat is 60's Bonnie Cashin. The red striped sweater is 80's Balmain (mom found it at the thrift store for 25 dollars) and the skirt it Ivan Grundahl. The dress with the long yellow sleeves is my 70's 'folkloric' dresss, and the crazy space dress is somehting I found at Lula B's this week in Dallas and I think I'm going to wear it today.
Off to the Teen Vogue Blogger Lounge...have to prepare for a little public speaking. Always nerve wracking. It was so much fun seeing Jane Keltner de Valle and Andrew Bevan from Teen Vogue at the Bar III party last week. Thank you Teen Vogue for having me out!
Can't wait to share some pictures of Vegas--until then!
These are some leftovers from our snow storm--it was a perfect oppurtunity to wear this 70's Bill Blass coat. Worn with Rugby by Ralph Lauren carpenter pants and pleated chambray shirt, and my trusty Ann Demeulemeester triple lace boots.
My mom found this 70's Edouard Rambaud choker and it's my new favorite piece of jewelry ever--not an understatement.
