Keith Pollock
I keep all my best pieces in the single-rail closet so that they have the most breathing room. I also have my shoes in this closet, since it is nearest to the door. The second closet is mostly separates. I organize everything by colour, which isn't difficult, since it's mostly black or white. Everything is hung on wooden hangers. Super delicate items are kept in my dresser, wrapped in tissue.
These were a birthday gift from myself, to myself. I bought them on yoox.com, which is a fantastic resource for high-end items from past seasons. People are always surprised when I tell them that they are Balenciaga.

Keith Pollock, a guy with impeccable yet casual style, knows a thing or two about fashion and the role it plays in our digital media space. As the Editorial Director of Elle.com, Pollock has honed his skills in the online realm, putting in time as the former Fashion Director at men.style.com as well as spearheading the must-discussed resurrection of Interview Magazines online presence. And he has plenty of reasons to be content. Elle.com is one of the most visited online adaptations of a printed publication, generating original content on a hard-to-keep-up basis. The abundance of information disregards any pre-conceived notions - as Pollock makes sure both quality and quantity are at the highest regard. And they most certainly are - as he has established Elle.com as the go-to source for witty and smart female fashion-centric information.
You have to imagine these blue Florsheim by Duckie Brown brogues with a grey suit. (That's what I told everyone after I bought them; they've yet to be worn.) Unlike the shoes surrounding them, that are scuffed and wrecked with wear.
My good friend Dana Lorenz started her Fenton and Fallon jewelry collections in 2006. This is one of her first pieces
I have a giant box of jewelry and random junk I've been collecting for the past decade. Foreign coins, pewter thimbles, plastic key chains--it's like peeking into an eccentric elderly woman's vanity drawer. The gold claw pendant was bought at a gas station in Wasilla, Alaska. Some Chanel and Dior buttons, a safety pin from New Mexico. I mean, basically this pile represents why moving for me is such a nightmare... I CAN'T LET GO!
I clearly have a thing for neutral tchotchkes, World of Interiors, and beat-up brown boots. This is just a sampling of all three.
These are Ralph Lauren's take on the alpine boot. I don't usually wear them with the roman gladiator helmet.
I have a very unreasonable amount of sunglasses, considering I hardly ever wear them. I'll usually bring a pair when I'm traveling which explains the ottoman they sit on, bought in a Moroccan souk.
The vest is vintage Cacharel, the scarf is Etro, and the gigantic plaster tree came with the apartment.
