Last night I conducted a Flickr experiment:
Searching the terms “spokane rainbow” yielded six pages of fairly interesting results. What was even more interesting, however, was the discovery that almost every shot of a rainbow in Spokane (excluding the predictable river pictures and sky-only compositions) displayed some kind of jarring juxtaposition between this gorgeous natural phenomenon and some hideous human product:
