Hilary Swank in Atelier Versace Spring 2010

If this was on anyone else we'd have nothing but praise for the look because it's a pretty amazing-looking dress. January Jones could rock it. But on Swank it's totally expected because slinky, naked dresses are almost all she ever wears.

Cher

Bow down, motherfuckers. CHER is on the red carpet.

Chelsea Clinton

The dress on its own is sweet, if a little too daytime for the event. We don't love the black tights but we don't mind them. It's the shoes. People aren't still doing that "light shoes over heavy tights" thing, are they? Even if they are, this is the wrong dress for it.

Elisabeth Moss in Reem Acra Spring 2011

Lizzy or her peeps seem to have figured out what dresses look best on her. She's been nailing it more often than not lately and that's a reversal of fortunes compared to earlier RC attempts. Now it's time for her to advance to Accessorizing 101. This is a look that's screaming for jewelry (maybe even some showy pieces) and screaming AT her for pairing it with nondescript nude shoes. You're so close, Lizzy.

Estelle

Basic, but she's rocking it. Love the shoes.

Fergie in Zac Posen

We were all set to give it a thumbs up even if it is a basic Jessica Rabbit dress. Then we saw the shoes. When we rule the world, there will be burly gay men at the end of every red carpet ready to bounce any celebrity right back into their limos for fashion crimes like shoes perfectly matched to the dress. She looks like an attention-seeking Maid of Honor.

Donatella Versace in Versace Fall 2010

We don't love the dress but it's freaking Donatella. Come on. She can wear whatever the hell she wants. She's wearing that face, isn't she?
Janet Jackson in Versace

That is the best she has looked by far in a very long time. What a chic and flattering dress. Love the hair. The jacket is a little too old school but it does make the look in a "What becomes a Legend most?" kind of way.

Kate Hudson in Lanvin

Hate the zipper but aside from that it's a really fantastic look on her. Love the hair and the shoes. Go Zoe.

Julia Roberts

She looks like a stylish mother stopping in on the way home from work for parent-teacher conferences. It's not a bad look but come on, Roberts. You're not such a Grande Dame of Cinema that you're not expected to put a little effort in. Step it up next time, honey. This is for GLAMOUR Magazine, not Town & Country.

Kelly Osbourne

Pebbles Flintstone meets The Facts of Life.
Kyra Sedgwick in L'Wren Scott Spring 2011

We're in disagreement on that flourish hanging off the sash. Lorenzo thinks she ruined the dress by putting it on her ass rather than her hip. Tom doesn't mind it and offered that maybe she thought it made her look too hippy for the RC. We're both in agreement that the hem's a couple inches too long.
