What was 2011 thinking when it let these people out of the house? Well, here they are again, the year’s pride and joy, for your viewing pleasure. If you need a moment, we totally understand.

Norway is the first country to officially ban fur from its runways! This February, Oslo Fashion Week will be a fur -free zone, and hopefully this bold move will inspire other countries to follow suit.  While some designers are probably peeved about getting smacked with creative censure, over 200 industry members are in support of Norway’s efforts to preserve animal rights. This is phenomenal news. Going to go kiss a rabbit now.
Faux style doesn’t mean no style… quite the contrary. Shop these faux fur selections for an Oslo Fashion Week-approved finish: beaded faux fur jacket $42.80, fur trimmed jacket $24.80, faux fur trimmed cardigan $34.80.

It’s the whirlwind romance that always seems like a good idea at the time… Trends, how you rock our worlds. It was a year of minis under maxis, thigh highs to harem crotch-lows… We went wild for leopard prints, camel tones and fish tailed locks, while other furry inspired attire went straight to people’s heads (see Khloe K). From sheer to shearling, clogs to conjoined rings, 2010 sounded a call to arms to all those ready and willing to partake. What trend did you fall in love with?

This week’s Fashion Face-Off is having a Snow Day! Scan a critical eye over these worthy bloggers and select the winning look.

Electro pop band Two Door Cinema Club hails from Northern Ireland; Bangor and Donaghadee, respectively. This preppy trio’s sound reminds us of Vampire Weekend and MGMT thrown in a blender set to ‘PULSE’. It’s total humdinger heaven. Our in-store favorites from their debut album, Tourist History, include “I Can Talk” and “Kids”. Their super catchy melodies and guitar riffs are the perfect road trip companions. No doubt, the chambray loving trio’s chnerd (chic nerd) style will make you want to listen to every TDCC song in a boyfriend cardigan from now on.

We haven’t recovered from our holiday food coma yet and Natalie Portman springs this on us.  Not only is she engaged to her Black Swan co-star and New York City Ballet’s principal dancer, the French-born Benjamin Millepied (who also choreographed the film), but there’s a baby on the way as well! This is overachiever overdrive. The “what to expect when you’re expecting?” line is one LOADED question for the actress who’ll probably get everything she’s ever wanted in 2011. But let’s attempt an answer anyway, shall we? Hubby with a French accent, family home in St. Tropez, belly-friendly designer couture come award season, a genetically perfect new baby…oh and an Oscar, if she’s…you know, lucky.
It’s head-to-toe unforgettable perfection.  A  line-up of 21 ladies who continuously brought their A-game to the red carpet in 2010.
